This show presents new reports on research which, again, validate a focus on nutrition for many health conditions. Dr. Hugo Rodier, host of the Integrative Hermetic Health show. is an integrative physician who began his research into the fundamental importance of nutrition in human health issues far ahead of the medical establishment listening to some of its own research. Although there is some progress in the area of physicians actually incorporating nutritional research into their practice, it is still largely dominated by pharmaceutical treatments that evade the new nutritional knowledge already proven over quite a few decades. The goal of this program is to enlighten the public to the nutritional bases for more powerful and lasting health treatments.

In this program, we look at  the effect of eating meat on the microbiome, the army of bacteria in the body that represents 2/3 of our actual immune system. In referring to a former  very large study published in the American Journal of Clinical research we discussed, we had noted a study that claimed that men who eat more meat are more likely to die prematurely. In this study. We also explore a study that downgraded the already discredited claims of the role of cholesterol in cardio-vascular disease is caused by saturated fat and cholesterol and looked more at the molecule Trimethyl-N-Oxide or TMAO is a major culprit, derived from food, particularly in meat, that are high in choline and L-Carnitine.

We also explore a study that links a rare gut bacteria to the uncomfortable restless leg syndrome )RLS). In our discussion, we examine the fact that RLS is often a precursor to Parkinson’s and the ties of these two conditions to pesticides, which attack the good bacteria in the microbiome.

It is surprising that a Medscape publication in May 3019 describes a study  links 100% juices to enhanced mortality rate. In looking at this study, Doctor Rodier targets the reality of the label, 100% juice- often contains an abundance of high fructose corn syrup, a very unhealthy ingredient. Still, even very pure high-quality juice, with its fructose content, can overload the liver, which processes fructose as opposed to the pancreas and its insulin output which processes sucrose-derived sugar and other types of sweeteners.

One of his books, Gut Health, gives his readers  an in-depth look at the way to naturally heal your intestinal tract. Gut Health, which is available on Amazon, is a valuable supplement to this program.
